Pongal Celebration

On January 12, 2024, St. Charles English Medium School celebrated the festival of Sankranti with great enthusiasm and fervor. The day was marked by vibrant festivities, fostering a sense of joy and unity within our school community.

The highlight of the celebration included a Rangoli competition, where our talented students showcased their creativity through intricate and colorful designs. Additionally, a kite-flying competition added an exciting element to the festivities, as participants skillfully maneuvered their kites in the clear skies.

One of the heartwarming traditions of Sankranti was the blessing of our little children by the elders present. This symbolic gesture of imparting wisdom and good wishes helps create a sense of familial warmth within our school community.

As part of the celebrations, the traditional practice of ‘kollu’ was also observed, symbolizing prosperity and the sharing of joyous moments with our school family.

The Sankranti celebration at St. Charles English Medium School was not only a cultural event but also an opportunity for our students to appreciate and embrace the rich traditions that bind us together. We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a resounding success.

Warm regards,
